The Cabin In Winter

Christmas afternoon, we drove to the cabin by Smith-Morehouse. We got there after dark and Travis and Dale took a snowmobile up to the house while the rest of us waited in the cars. They had to dig their way in. We were worried about them and after a little more than an hour we caught a terribly uncomfortable (but kind) ride to the cabin with a neighbor. I was in a bit of pain the next day thanks to that ride, but the warm cabin felt great.

The day after Christmas was spent snowmobiling and playing in the snow. We had a great time. Bruce and Travis were the pros, giving the rest of us rides.

Look at all the snow piled on top of the nest.
This is the overhang of snow on the deck railing.

The snow had collected on the pole and then next to the pole. There was so much snow. It was really beautiful.

We made a yummy salmon dinner on Christmas night and then Veronica made her now-famous snickerdoodles and Lisa's milk chocolate chip cookies.

On the way home from the cabin, we drove through Park City and saw this neat Nativity display. Glad to see the real meaning of Christmas displayed, no matter what church it is.
