It's Always Fun When Company Comes

We enjoyed a fun-filled visit from John and Lisa Richardson's family over the weekend. We had two full days (and I do mean full).
I picked them up at the airport and we drove straight to Buffalo Cafe, where we met Travis and our kids and we all had a delicious breakfast. I wish I'd have had my camera with me. We had 9 kids there and they were alll perfect. Angus is a nearly perfect baby. He was so good through the entire trip.
This picture is of Caroline (the narrator) during the children's lively performance of The Three Little Pigs.

My picture of the three little pigs (Hannah, Elise and Joe) got deleted. Sorry !

Here is Savannah as the Big Bad Wolf.

The kids took a bow.

And another bow.

This is Joe at the pond on Grandpa White's property. He has a stocked pond there and we took the kids fishing. We had a lovely afternoon. The weather was perfect. A few fish were biting, and the kids were having a lot of fun.
Caroline and Savannah fishing. They were the only two who successfully reeled in their fish. Hopefully next time, everyone will.
I'm so bad at getting pictures in order. I don't know why, but bear with me. In the evening, Veronica and Bruce watched the kids (except Angus, who continued his perfect behavior) and John and Lisa and Travis and I went to "Dan in Real Life." LOVED IT! It was a great movie with good people and family portrayed in a positive way. It's one I want to own and watch several times. An added bonus is that the soundtrack was entertaining and included a fun song called Ruthie Pigface Draper, already a favorite.
Veronica was in heaven having Caroline to bake cookies with. Savannah doesn't much enjoy baking cookies and Veronica liked having a little sidekick.

Back to fishing. Hannah and Elise. They don't look like they're having a great time, but really they did.
John teaches Caroline the art of fishing.
The cousins have welcomed Joe into their world and the three of them played together great (as always). The only problem was that two days wasn't long enough for them.
Cute girls--Veronica, Savannah and Caroline.
Bruce and Stella were good friends on this trip. Bruce was a good sport. He missed the USC-Oregon game to fish with the family. He was disappointed to miss it, but had a good time anyway.

Fun fishing.
The girls wait patiently.
John and Stella.
Pull it in.

Success!
More success.
They show off the prize.
Bruce casts the line. (I have no idea if I even said that right.)
Here is the photographic proof that I was on this trip. I've had too many people ask me lately where I am on the blog, so just be aware that I'm not thrilled with anything about this picture except Angus, but there you go. I was there.
We loved having the Richardson's come. It was a fun weekend that finished up with a Sunday evening of playing games (the favorite was Pictionary). We wish they could have stayed longer and hope they'll come again soon.

I want to come for a fun and family-filled weekend. Looks like everyone had a good time. I wish we had your set up, close enough to drive up for a weekend if needed, and yet far enough away to get visitors. I will have to take Spencer on a date to see that movie. I love to see all of the kids, Oh, and I am glad you made the cut. Thanks for the posting.
